So, this was on John Ringo's website this morning:

Thanks for the kind words, John! For that matter, this seems as good a place as any to express my deep thanks to everyone who linked the post, and commented in it, as well as my thanks for the good sportsmanship of all Ringo fans, not-fans, and the sometime fans who are avoiding the PALADIN OF SHADOWS SERIES like the plague. (And an extra-special thanks to [info]brown_betty, who preread the review for me.) I, um. Yeah.

(Meanwhile, the phrase "OH JOHN RINGO NO" seems to have taken on a wider meaning, at least for the moment. Hey, John, it's *free publicity!*

...I really need an icon with the words "OH JOHN RINGO NO.")

Given that the "right" cat picture for this concept would probably be a nightmare of Lovecraftian dimensions, maybe a slightly wrong cat picture would be better?

Here's today's hoot.

John's Kildar series...unedited...has appeared in our local public library. I suspect our staff of 50ish female librarians probably ordered it from a book list, and have not yet availed themselves of the actual content.

Yeah, My *Mom* is a Librarian. In her mid-40's. And, since she knows how much I'm addicted to John Ringo's books, she reserves *every one* of them for me when she orders them for her library. And *checks them out for me*. *Including the Paladin Of Shadows Series.* If only she knew...

As a librarian, I have to say that your mother may very well know, but not say anything about it because she doesn't want to embarrass you.

The reviewer for Kirkus LOATHED Ghost. Passionately. I showed the review to my boss, and she said, "It sounds like something our patrons will like" and ordered it.
