you didn't love me
you made me sad

except
they never say who "you" is

Okay, that's AMAZING.

Even if it doesn't rhyme or have capital letters.

not rhyming or having capital letters
is what makes free verse awesome
ask anyone

also it doesn't matter if your shift key is broken

Lol, freakin' awesome.

It is also a good observation. I write free verse and I always write about "you" or "he" or "she." I may have to try breaking out of that rut.

Thanks! It is a rut easy to fall into.

Ruts are odd things. When I started, I wrote rhyming couplets as a default setting. Now it's quatrains, so I'm inclined to break myself of that.

*laughs* If I had ten bucks for every passive aggressive "an unspecified person has caused me pain" poen I had to read in an undergraduate creative writing workshop, I could probably pay off my student loans with it.

You could probably pay off the stimulus package and the bailouts with it.

(I like "an unspecified person has caused me pain" as the first line in a free verse poem. Really a lot actually.

an unspecified person has caused me pain
over something
done or undone

i'm not saying who or what

maybe it was you

think about it)

You might want to go to althouse.blogspot.com, and check out posts tagged "blogging cockroach". Free verse-y, not P-A.
