Nathan Fillion occasionally does book signings in character as Richard Castle.

Next time he does, somebody should totally ask him if it's true that he's related to the mystery writer J.B. Fletcher. I really wonder what he'd say. ("Um... maybe? She's related to everybody else!" or "Aunt Jess! She's great, isn't she? ...I outsell her. I think she's a little annoyed about that.")

Didn't Richard Castle dress as Mal Reynolds for Hallowe'en?

"Castle" dressing up would be current.

No, I haven't seen that one yet. It just struck me as something that would be funny.

Apparently, it struck *them* as funny, too.

.laughs.

Maybe... or maybe you'd get a confused look and a heartfelt "No? Why would you think so?"... or "No?? And people keep asking me that!"

Nathan Fillion once posted on a blog or something that he wanted people to greet him with matter-of-fact outlandish stories where he helped them with something, then ask questions. Something like, "Hey, Nathan, this is HJ from Florida, you saved my baby from choking on that raisin that one time in the airport, remember? Anyway, I was just wondering if you were related to that mystery writer JB Fletcher." And he would say, "Yeah, I remember, how's the little moppet doing? But, no, I am of no relation, although I like to think that she's a fan."
