snow day!

Woke up this morning to lots and lots of snow as Valentine's Day dawned. What is the sane and intelligent thing for an American exile in Canada to do? GO TO NIAGARA FALLS. WITH ANOTHER MAN.

(Doing my part for those out there who like to imagine me in RPS. You know who you are.)

Yes, it's bachelor Valentine's Day, as my buddy and I tromped through the snow, hopped a bus, drove through more snow, made it to Niagara, took a cab through more snow, and finally tromped through even more snow to the casino. Tomorrow, when it's less snowy, I shall observe the Falls and fight the temptation to re-enact the "playing on the railing" scene from SUPERMAN II. (I have not gambled yet; it's on the agenda for tomorrow. I appear to have good luck with me, because when I was at the pal's elbow, he won.)

Finally, to honor the day: check out Comicvine's Superhero Dating Quiz to find out which superhero or heroine you're best suited for. Apparently, I am destined to date Ms. Marvel, Aurora, or Psylocke. I'm only familiar with the last, and none of them are the names *I* would have supplied as superheroines I'd be interested in taking out to dinner. Or Niagara Falls.
