APED: "big mac villanelle"

(after Dorothy Gambrell's sandwich villanelle)

Two beef patties delight your tongue.
Our special sauce is carefully made.
Sesame seeds adorn the bun.

The lettuce is grown beneath the sun
And picked by fingers deft and straight
Two beef patties delight your tongue.

The beef is topped with cheese that runs
beneath hot lamps, an oily lake.
Sesame seeds adorn the bun.

Pickles: you might get two, or one.
It's something we leave up to fate.
Two beef patties delight your tongue.

We finish now -- oh, yum! Onions.
It's fast food, you don't have to wait.
Sesame seeds adorn the bun.

If you want lunch, Big Mac's the one.
Would you like fries? It's time you ate.
Two beef patties delight your tongue.
Sesame seeds adorn the bun.
