APED: "man of bronze"

March 2nd, 2009 (09:15 pm)

The human mind, by study honed,
the human muscle, sculpted, toned,
like lacquered wire, bunched on bone,
the human flesh, as hewn in stone,
the human heart, in bronze, alone.

That's really excellent.

I've never read Doc Savage, and I like this poem in lots of ways that don't refer directly to him (reminds me of Rosemary Sutcliffe, oddly), as well as in ways where I'm basically inserting Kimball Kinnison in his place.
