APED: "with you"

I've been round the earth,
been under the seas,
been out in the desert
and high in the trees.
And some things I've seen were unknown and all new --
but I'd like to see them with you.

I've tunneled in caves,
flown up in the sky,
walked down by the river
and watched it flow by.
I've seen places unspoiled, and waters pure blue --
but I'd like to go there with you.

Pack up your bag, let's go for a while,
down the block, or over the sea.
And I'll show you something, to just see you smile,
and then I'll smile back. Just you see.

I've seen alligators,
and fed the giraffes,
heard the elephants trumpet
and hyenas laugh.
I've seen all the beasts that they got in the zoo --
but I'd like to see them with you.

Because I've done them all, but now, they're all new --
because now, I can do them with you.
