My Veterans' Day

So my roomies and I are reading me new stack o' comics in the living room, while cable news runs some Veterans' Day coverage. One roomie, who served on an aircraft carrier during our Iraqi and Afghan campaigns, says, "Dude, I'm a veteran. Shouldn't somebody get me a present or something?"

"Dude, I brought comics into the home."

"... yeah, that's pretty sweet. OK, you've done your part."

Pause. Then we started laughing.

Good way to thank veterans for their service: bring 'em comic books.
